In 2019, Global Energy Group Ltd (GEG), acquired a majority stake in Apollo Engineering. Apollo’s brownfield division was subsequently amalgamated with GEG’s legacy integrity and construction division to create Global E&C, an independent brownfield EPC contractor with a focus on the UK North Sea.

A year later, Global E&C made two acquisitions: engineering consultancy Magma Products and architectural, engineering and project management specialists Aiken, enhancing our capabilities as an end-to-end lifecycle EPC contractor and creating a business that is challenging the norm, shifting expectations and doing things differently when it comes to EPC execution.

2017

Caledonian Petroleum Services integrated with Global Energy Group and was rebranded as part of the process.

Expanded Offshore Construction capabilities to include specialist access and E&I teams.

Renamed as the ICON (Integrity & Construction) division with GEG, with a greater focus and Construction work.

2018

Supported key customers in the Decommissioning of the Ninian North Platform.

Established position a leading brownfield modification and construction provider in the North Sea..

2019

Global Energy Group acquires majority stake in Apollo Offshore Engineering Ltd. enhancing the companies Brownfield engineering competencies.

2019

Global E&C is created from the combination of the GEG ICON division and the brownfield engineering division in Apollo, to form an integrated Brownfield EPC contractor.

2020

Global E&C acquires Aiken, which expands multi-discipli­nary engineering and project management capability into HVAC-R, modular and accommodation services.

2020

Global E&C gain approval for a seven figure investment to develop Slingshot, our proprietary digital ecosystem, which has been designed specifically for the Brownfield EPC space (anticipated 18-24 months project).

2020

Global E&C undertakes complete facility reshuffle to support Engineering growth and right sized fabrication footprint.

Global E&C delivers first HUC in the UKCS, supporting Rossetti in the safe delivery of Tolmount.

Acquisition of Magma further enhances Global E&C integrated EPC services offering in the energy industry

2021

Global E&C restructures to form three distinct divisions: Brownfield Services, Projects and Energy Transition. Supported by key leadership additions in key areas.

Phase 2 roll-out of Slingshot delivered and revamped IMS roll-out across all divisions in support of revised structure.
