Global E&C Celebrates Industry Recognition for Offshore Safety

This year’s Offshore Safety Awards, jointly organised by OEUK and Step Change in Safety, was held on Thursday 8th September at the P&J Live in Aberdeen.

The awards celebrate the excellent work being done by companies and people to promote safety across the industry and we were honored to be a part of it. Congratulations to the winner Sean Buchan (Global E&C) for the Sharing and Learning Award, sponsored by Spirit Energy.

At Global E&C, we believe our high standard of safety culture and impressive safety statistics are down to an array of strategic efforts to fully engage with our workforce and encourage active participation from our entire personnel both onshore and offshore.

For this particular award entry, we wanted to highlight one of our more recent offshore engagement initiatives to encourage active participation in health and safety matters as this has made a significant impact to our business as a sharing a learning organisation. By sharing our story more broadly as part of this award entry, we felt it could be hugely rewarding to, and easily replicated by, other companies within our arena.
