Before and After - Modular Outfitting and Refurbishment

Global E&C's modular outfitting and refurbishment business - Aiken - have recently completed another scope of work destined for the UK North Sea.

Here are a few details and images of our team’s efforts to fully strip out and refurbish a 20x8 offshore module into a workshop cabin for the offshore energy industry.

Some highlights from the scope of work included:

• Strip out heavily corroded steel floor & accompanying floor supports
• Complete steelwork replacement/repairs to achieve structural integrity in accordance with certification requirements
• Carry out Full MPI inspection on all new steelworks
• Strip out & replace all internal linings
• Strip out & replace both A60 Personnel doors
• Marine specification paint coating & client branding to suit
• Install new Vinyl & workshop matting to the floor
• Fabricate & install Steel workbench
• Install new workshop furniture to suit client requirements
• Install new AC system
• Carry out full structural inspection & re-certification
