We investigate events and incidents with a no-blame approach, fostering a culture of honesty and openness. We promote hazard and risk awareness, providing ongoing safety and personal development training to enhance competency and maximise safe performance.
Our Commitment
As Director of Projects Derek has overall accountability for a portfolio of contracts where Global E&C is delivering fully integrated services to support the end-to-end lifecycle of EPC scopes, working with more than 400 employees across the business to execute projects safely, responsibly and efficiently in the UK North Sea.
Derek is also co-chair of Safe Working Essentials, a workgroup set up by member-led organisation Step Change in Safety, which is focused on making the UK the safest oil and gas province in the world in which to work.
